Badfinger completed their best album in , then had it pulled from the shelves in a haze of managerial misdeals and contractual screw-ups. They were good soldiers, at least for a while, heading into the studio (without Joey Molland, who bailed at the last minute) to bash out another album for Warner, completing it in two leclockcourterstanwilmselibedeparthe.xyzinfo rejected the effort, lead songwriter Pete Ham committed.

Head First is a very good album that could have been better if it was finished. Every Badfinger album had a number of amazing highlights as well as a number of songs that were just very good. This is an album of very good songs with the highlights not there. If you love Badfinger you need this album but if not it's not the place to start/5(23).

Feb 15,  · As much as I absolutely love the first two WB albums -- especially Wish You Were Here, their best album all the way through start to finish -- is how indifferent/bored I am with Head First. Everything I love about Badfinger before that point is mostly missing from it. As someone else said earlier, it was like a completely different band.
