May 03,  ·       In Stéphanie SoKolinski a.k.a. SoKo declared herself “dead” on My Space, quitting a music industry which scared her and refusing to release a completed double album. I Thought I Was An Alien is a perfect album for a melancholy Sunday afternoon, although Soko just needs to take herself less serious.

Jan 22,  · I Thought I Was an Alien is tender and sad and sweet and I love it. Lyrically, Soko never lets me down and her delivery is soft but impossible to ignore. This is mostly a slower, quiet album but it's never boring and no part of it is forgettable/5(70).
